For those of you that don’t want to visit the island of Delos, this private tour will show you most of the highlights the island of Mykonos has to offer to its visitors.
You will be met by your tour director and private vehicle at the port where your ship will dock. You will then drive and visit the village of Agios Ioannis at the southwest of the island where you will enjoy a nice view of the island of Delos. There in the 80s "Shirley Valentine" was filmed. After a short stop for photographs you will continue with a 20 minute ride to the village of Ano Mera that is located at the center of the island.
Ano Mera is the second biggest village of the island and one of its highlights is the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani, dating back to the 16th century, that you will get the chance to visit. After the visit of the monastery you will be able to rest for a while and enjoy a snack and Greek coffee at a local taverna.
Afterwards you will visit the famous Kalafatis beach that is nearby. On the way there you will see villas and farms. Alternatively you may have a short stop for snacks and coffee there at a traditional coffeehouse.
Finally you will return to Mykonos Chora where you will enjoy an approximately one hour walking tour so that you will be presented the most important sights of Chora, like the windmills, Little Venice and the old port. At the end of the tour you can either be returned to your cruise ship or spend some time on your own in Chora. Your tour director will provide you with useful information so that you can dine, shop or explore more of Chora on your own before returning back to the ship on your own.
